Terms of Service
Effective July 14, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Equipment Tracker application and website (the “Service”), operated by Equipment Tracker (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Equipment Tracker lets service businesses track customer equipment and per-unit service history, and integrates with Jobber to sync your clients and properties. Equipment Tracker is an independent application and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Jobber.
2. Accounts and Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
- When you connect Jobber, you represent that you are authorized to grant access to that Jobber account's data.
3. Subscriptions, Billing, and Trials
- Paid features require a subscription billed through Stripe on a recurring monthly basis at the prices shown at checkout.
- Pricing is per active user: the base price covers a set number of users, and each additional active user adds a per-seat charge. Adding or disabling a user changes your subscription quantity accordingly; the resulting proration is applied to your next invoice.
- If a free trial is offered, your subscription automatically converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel beforehand.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the current billing period.
- Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
4. Your Data and Content
You retain ownership of the data and content you submit to the Service, including equipment records, service history, and the Jobber data you choose to sync. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to provide and improve the Service. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in violation of any law or the rights of others.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or connected systems.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
- Reverse engineer or resell the Service except as permitted by law.
6. Jobber Integration
The Service accesses your Jobber data only as you authorize through Jobber’s OAuth connection, and your use of Jobber remains subject to Jobber’s own terms and policies. With your authorization, the Service writes a single “View equipment” link onto your Jobber properties that links back to the Service; it does not otherwise create, modify, or delete your Jobber data. You may disconnect the integration at any time from your Jobber account settings.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, and content (excluding your data), is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our trademarks or branding.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data synced from third parties will be accurate or complete.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. Upon termination, your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective” date above, and your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
